iBotta is a Great Example of Viral Marketing

One great example of viral networking is a little smart phone app called ibotta. If you have a Droid or an Apple iOS device such as an iPad or iPhone you can earn extra money going to the grocery store and purchasing products recommended by ibotta.

It is supposed to be compatible with most devices, but unfortunately my droid will not work with the iBotta app so I can’t give you much information on how it works. A friend uses it and she is always coming back on facebook and telling me that she made $20 here or there. I suppose when I get my iPad or my Kindle then I’ll be able to use it. I simply haven’t justified buying one yet while I’m still paying out the nose monthly for the Droid.

For those into making extra cash, you can also get paid on referrals. iBotta members make $1.00 for each person he or she refers to the program. Payment is made via PayPal.

When people figured out you could make money on this product by referrals it went viral almost instantly. Links flew everywhere and there were so many signups the product made viral news.
